Shiloh is the newest-built community we serve, and we approach it that way. Instead of century-old galvanized pipe, most of what we see here is builder-grade equipment from the 2000s and 2010s construction boom reaching its first major service age, plus a steady stream of military families relocating to and from Scott Air Force Base on tight timelines.
Illinois’ Oldest Congregation, One of Its Newest Suburbs
Shiloh’s history goes back further than its housing stock suggests. The community grew out of an 11-day revival meeting held at “Three Springs” in April 1807, organized by Methodist leader Rev. William McKendree. The log meeting house that followed became the first Methodist church in St. Clair County and eventually the longest continuously organized United Methodist congregation in Illinois — the village and township took the church’s name. Shiloh itself incorporated in 1905.
What’s changed is everything built around that history. Shiloh’s population has roughly doubled since 2000 to about 14,700 residents today, with more than 230 new homes built in 2002 alone and master-planned communities like the Villages at Wingate off Green Mount Road continuing that growth. It’s also the most affluent of the four communities we serve outside Belleville, with a median household income around $100,000 and a homeownership rate near 73%. In practice, that means our Shiloh calls skew toward newer systems and higher-end fixtures, not old pipe.

What Shiloh Customers Say
Shiloh Plumbing & HVAC FAQ
Our house is only a few years old — do you still work on newer construction?
Yes, most of what we do in Shiloh is newer construction. A lot of the homes built during the 2000s and 2010s boom are now reaching the age where original builder-grade water heaters, furnaces, and fixtures need their first real service or replacement, and we’re used to working on those systems specifically.
Can you help with a fast plumbing inspection for a military family relocating to Scott AFB?
Yes. Shiloh sits right next to the base and we regularly work with families on tight PCS timelines, coordinating quick inspections and repairs around move-in and move-out dates.
How fast can you get a plumber to Shiloh from Belleville?
Shiloh is one of our standard extended service areas along I-64 and Frank Scott Parkway, same/next-day service for most calls.
